Downing is at the Heart of Uplands Community. The Community of Uplands runs from Yonge Street in the east to Highway 7 in the North, Bathurst Street in the west, and Centre Stree in the South. Upland is on the Southeast side of Vaughan, bordering Markham and Richmond Hill.
