Tahir St is at North West Corner of Maple Community. The Community of Maple runs from Jane and Highway 400 on the west to Rutherford Road in the south, the Go Railway Barrier line on the east, and Teston Road on the north. Bounding highway 400 and having two GO stations, Maple offers its residents convenient transportation to transit to downtown Toronto. Predominant homes are detached houses constructed after 1980. In past 3 months, 7 Semi-Detached homes were sold at average of $1.12M. It has a higher than average of immigrants from East India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Portugal and Macedonia living close to Jane street and Teston road. Barrier Go Train line offers two train stations on the Community's east border. Community parks, such as Mackenzie Glen District Park, Melville Park, West Maple Creek Park, Frank Robson Park and Routley Park, offer outdoor soccer fields, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, beautiful walking trails, kids' playgrounds, and more. Adjacent to the plaza on the west side of Jane Street stands Vaughan Tier One regional hospital, Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Many young families chose to live in Maple because of its convenient public transportation, proximity to large shopping centres, top-tier school zone and more affordable housing prices compared with neighbouring communities.
