Community Overview

Bathurst is at South East Corner of Bathurst Manor Community. Bathurst Manor runs from Dufferin Street on the East to Steeles Avenue on the North. The East border follows the meandering course of the West Don River down to the community's south border Sheppard Street. A sizeable Jewish population revolves around this neighborhood's many Jewish cultural and learning centers and synagogues. Along Sheppard Avenue, several mid-rise apartment buildings and condo townhouses also exist. About 60% of the residents are of European Origin and 21% are of East and Southeast Asia origin. Sheppard West subway station is located at the southwest corner of the community, which connects the central transit system to downtown Toronto. Chapley Community Centre and Wilmington Park are the center point of the community, which feature an outdoor pool, a tot's play area, an outdoor ice rink, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. Besides many automobile service stores, including Canadian Tire Auto Parts stores, a Yammy supermarket focuses on the complete European Food Experience. Bathurst Manor is home to some great schools and is a beautiful community to raise children.
