Highgate Dr is at South East Corner of Milliken Mills West Community. Milliken Mills West runs from Kennedy Road on the East to Highway 407 on the North, Steeles Avenue on the South, and Highway 404 on the east. Two significant roads, 14th Avenue(Alden Rd/Esna Park Drive/John Street) and Denison Street, run through the Community from east to west. And the other four significant roads, Woodbine Avenue, Rodick Road/Esna Park Drive, Warden Avenue, and Birchmount Road, run through the Community from North to south. Milliken Mills West is an Asian-dominant community in Markham. There are also a few condo townhouses and mid-rise condo buildings at the junction of Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue. About 18% of renters live in the Community. Several TTC and YRT bus routes are along Steeles Avenue, Woodbine Avenue, John Street, Denison Street, Kennedy Road, Warden Avenue, and 14th Avenue. Milliken Mills Community Centre also offers an indoor soccer field, a swimming pool with a whirlpool and sauna, a dance studio, an ice rink, and a public library. The largest Asian indoor shopping mall in North America, Pacific Mall, is located at the junction of Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue where visitors can find hundreds of stores and restaurants. Milliken Mills West borders two significant highways and Steeles Avenue, which makes the commute to other parts of GTA straightforward. Many families also choose to live in this Community because the housing prices are more affordable than in other parts of Markham.
