Madsen is at the Heart of Markville Community. Markville community is the home of Markham's largest indoor shopping center, Markville Mall. The Community runs from McCowan Road on the east to 16th Avenue on the North, Dense forest by Kennedy Road on the west and Highway 7 on the South. It is divided by the railway crossing from the east to the west; the North of the railway is mainly residential, and the south is mixed with residential and commercial business. Furthermore, North of Carlton Road clustered with more oversized double garage detached houses, often with more bedrooms sitting on generous lots.
