Community Overview

Snowshoe is at the Heart of German Mills Community. The community of German Mills runs from German Mill Creek on the west to Steeles Avenue in the south, Highway 404 on the east, and the railway north of John Street. The green space covers almost a third of the community's land area. While residents can enjoy many outdoor activities in local parks and hiking trails, the community is family oriented and offers entry-level homeownership opportunities. Homeownership in this community is very high, with around 85% of owners occupying their homes. In past 3 months, 5 Detached homes were sold at average of $1.46M. Despite the community name, the major ethnic group here is now Chinese, English, Iranian, and a small number of Korean and Indian. Buses on both Don Mills Road and Steeles link up to Toronto Subway station, which connects to the central transit system to downtown Toronto. Other community parks, including Simonston Park, Paddock Park, and Bishops Cross Park, provide amenities such as Soccer fields, Tennis courts, Basketball Courts, baseball fields, and Kids' Playgrounds. Restaurants, banks, and many shops are concentrated at Shops On Steeles & 404 Mall. German Mills is a beautiful community in Markham right beside Toronto. Many families choose to live in German Mills because it is a safe neighborhood with a convenient location and many good schools.
