The boundary of Mount Pleasant West runs from Yonge Street on the west to Keewatin Ave on the North, Mount Pleasant Road on the east, and Mount Pleasant Cemetery on the south. South of Mount Pleasant West is also part of the Davisville Village neighborhood.
1. Housing:
Real estate at Mount Pleasant West comprises three sections. North Soudan Avenue is concentrated mainly with mid to high-rise condominium buildings and office towers, with a small number of attached row and semi-detached houses scattered in the area. South of Soudan Avenue to the north of Davisville Avenue is mixed with Single Detached, Semi-detached, townhomes, and multiplex housing. Most of these houses were built between 1920 and 1930, and the typical architecture includes English Cottage and Edwardian-style homes. South of Davisville Avenue comprises high-rise condo buildings, rental apartments, and office towers.

Roughly 58% of residents travel by public transit. MRT and LRT systems are highly advanced throughout the community. Two subway stations, Eglinton and Davisville, are at the west boundary of the community. Eglinton is the central exchange terminal for Eglinton's crosstown LRT, connecting the central transit system to many parts of Toronto. Furthermore, the Mount Pleasant West community is very close to Downtown Toronto. For Car commuters, driving to downtown Toronto will take less than 20 minutes via Yonge Street or Mount Pleasant Road.
4. Recreation:
June Rowlands Park offers baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and kids' playgrounds. Starting from Allen Road and terminating on Mount Pleasant Road, The Belt Line trail, passing through Mt Pleasant Cemetery at the southern border of the community, is an 8.9km hiking path for residents.
5. Shopping:
The most significant commercial real estate is along Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. The Yonge Eglinton Center is an indoor shopping mall anchored by Metro, Cineplex, and Toys R US. Along Yonge Street or Eglinton Avenue, shoppers can also find many distinctive restaurants, a Loblaws supermarket, and specialty stores.
6. Schools:
Davisville Junior Public School and Eglinton Junior Public School admit students from JK to Grade 6. And Hodgson Middle School accepts middle school students.
Mount Pleasant West community is part of the North Toronto Collegiate Institute school zone. North Toronto CI is an excellent school that ranks around 42 over 739 high schools in Ontario.
Mount Pleasant West is close to downtown Toronto and has straightforward access to convenient public transit.
