Raymerville

Raymerville is on the east side of Markville, in the center of the Markham geographic perimeter. It is a mature community with many attractive grasslands. Raymerville itself has no commercial business, but residents can enjoy shopping and buying groceries in the nearby Communities.

Community Overview

Raymerville Community runs from McCowan Road on the West to 16th Avenue on the North, Markham Road on the east, and Railway tracks on the South. The Flanking Robinson Creek, a tributary of the Rouge River system, is a boundary line of the school zone for both elementary and secondary schools.

1. Housing:

Real estate in Markham Raymerville is mixed with the majority of detached and link homes and small numbers of townhouses and apartments at McCowan and Raymerville Drive. It is occasionally tricky to tell between the link home and detached houses because the formation of the building above the ground is alike. The link home, with a footing or basement attached to the neighbor, typically has a slim front and is remarkably close to the neighbor. Home buyers are prudent to seek guidance from an expert real estate agent. Most homes constructed in the Community were between 1980 and 1990.

From MLS listings, in the past 90 days, Raymerville Markham sold 12 detached houses on average of $1,573,150; 8 Attached town home, Semi-detached and Link houses on average of $1,262,625.

2. Demographic:

Over 30% of residents in the Community are Chinese. English, Italian, and Indian are other major ethnic groups living here. The median age of residents is 47, elder than Ontario's average.

3. Transportation:

Families will need cars to commute. The south border of Raymerville is a Go Train rail track, and the only way to pass down is via Snider Drive or main street McCowan Road. McCowan has access to express tollway 407, which permits a speedy trip to both East and West, even during rush hour. There are fewer bus stops, but most can be located on the main street of McCowan Road and Raymerville Drive. The Community does not have Go Station but has two Go Stations in the neighboring Community on the southeast and southwest. Centennial Go station in Markville and Markham Go Station in the Old Markham Village allow residents to journey directly to downtown Toronto in about 45 minutes.

4. Recreation:

There are plenty of green spaces nourishing a soothing habitat for families. Five community parks, including Springdale Park, Cedar Valley Park, Raybeck Park, Raymerville Woodlot, and Stargell Park, present residents with walking trails, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and children's playgrounds. Centennial Community Centre, located at the west border of the Raymerville community, is another favorite local establishment. It has a 1,800-seat ice rink, a swimming pool with a diving tank, a fitness center, and more. The Markham Village Community Centre is also immediate to the Raymerville neighborhood. With a public library nearby, residents can likewise find many amenities here.

5. Shopping:

The Community's south border concentrates on many commercial businesses. Shoppers can find Loblaws supermarket, LCBO, and a large retail bank. With hundreds of stores, CF Markville mall is Markham's largest indoor shopping center. Several anchor stores such as Walmart, Apple, Best Buy, Zara, H&M, Hudson Bay, and other stores champion an extraordinary shopping experience for locals and visitors. Many fine dining restaurants, supermarkets, and retail chains can be readily discovered at all corners of the junction of Highway 7 and McCowan Road. Many stores are also on Historical Markham Village Main Street and the junction of 16th and Markham Road.

6. Schools:

Bounded by Flanking Robinson Creek, Ramer Wood Public School with Markville Secondary School admit students living on the Community's west side. At the same time, Franklin Street Public School and Markham District High School receive students from the Community's east side. Franklin Street Public School, in Old Markham Village Community, is one of the leading elementary schools in Ontario. It also has a French Immersion program for students from grades 3 to 8. Markville Secondary School is a more famous school, which ranks top 10 over 700 high schools in Ontario. The school also delivers a gifted program to high-potential students. On the other hand, Markham District School offers ESL and accepts international students. In addition, the school offers specialized programs such as the Advanced Placement (AP) and Core Gifted programs.

Raymerville is a family-oriented and exceptionally safe community in Markham. The housing price is more affordable than in neighboring communities such as Unionville or Markville. It is an excellent option for families who want to send their children to top-ranking schools in Markham.
