Buttonville

Buttonville is at the west end of Markham City bordering Beaver Creek Business park of Richmond Hill. There are plenty of green spaces in the neighbourhood. While most residents can enjoy the serenity in the community, houses near the Buttonville airport and Woodbine Avenue can encounter a certain level of noise. Some home buyers are also conservative when purchasing houses around the power transform station in the community's northeast corner.

Buttonville runs from Rodick Road on the east to 16th Avenue on the North, Highway 404 on the west, and Highway 407 on the South. More than half of the ground is populated by commercial businesses, including a Municipal Airport. The community is home to many renowned international technology companies.

With Apple Creek and Beaver Creek meandering through the community, many residential real estates are single detached homes backing to stunning Ravine. These are spacious houses posing on generous lots. Most were built between the 1980s and 2000s. A few condo townhouses are centralised in the northeast corner of the community. It is hard to find real estate to rent in Buttonville as very few homeowners lease out their properties.

Nearby is Markham Woodside Smart Center, which includes many anchor stores such as Costco, Winners, Home Depot, Longo's supermarket, and LCBO. Another famous plaza locates at Woodbine and 16th Avenue. Besides restaurants, banks and many other stores, T&T supermarket is an Asian supermarket chain that supplies fresh groceries to residents. Only a bit further north from this plaza is another multi-storey shopping centre. It was a recent shopping mall, and the marketer named it after the busiest shopping district in Beijing, Wangfujing, hoping to bring more traffic to the business.
