In Sep 2020, the freehold housing market of Markham remains as a strong seller's markets in the Great Toronto Area.

The average price of the freehold town, Semi and link houses is up 3.7% from the previous month, now $980K. The number of sold units decreases by 1% while new listings increases by 17%. And the average price for this type of house rises by 12% over the same period last year.

The average price of detached was lower by around 3.8% in Sep 2020. Approximately 57% of total freehold units sold in Markham last month are Detached houses. In traditional months of autumns, the market will become slower as both new listings and sales will drop in the following months.
