George St is at the Heart of Oak Ridges Community. The Oak Ridge community is at the northwest corner of Richmond Hill. The community runs from Yonge St on the East to the edge of Oak Ridges Corridor Conservation Reserve in the south, Bathurst on the West, and Bloomington Road on the north. It borders Aurora City in the North and King Town in the West. Homeownership in Oak Ridge is very high; around 92% are owners. In past 3 months, 21 Detached homes were sold at average of $1.65M. With more new immigrants moving into Richmond Hill in recent years, the major ethnic groups in Oak Ridge are now Italian, Chinese, Iranian, and Indian. In George St neighbourhood, you will find many residents are Italian, Chinese, English, Canadian, and Iranian. Residents will need a car to live in this part of Richmond Hill, though there is limited public transit available on the major roads of the community. There are too much natural scenery inside the Oak Ridges community, plenty of parks and reserves, and many hiking trails and golf fields.
