Brimwood is at the Heart of Bayview Hill Community. Community development started in the 1980s. The real estate developers planned this area with a high-end residential neighborhood in mind. The population density of this area is much lower than that of surrounding communities because most houses are sitting on larger lots. Families here generally are wealthier, and most bought their houses here because the famous Bayview Secondary School is one of the top schools across Ontario. Around 50% of houses here were built between 1980 and 1990. In past 3 months, 8 Detached homes were sold at average of $2.61M. Now it welcomes many more wealthy families, mainly migrated from China. In Brimwood neighbourhood, you will find many residents are Chinese, East Indian, and Iranian. It is easy to take highway 404 at Major Mac in the north or 16th Ave in the south, and it takes at most 10 minutes to get to the highway entrance. The center of the community is the Bayview Hill Community Centre offering residents a swimming pool, basketball, and tennis courts. The largest shopping area concentrates at Major Mackenzie, north of the community, where one can find Walmart, Food Basic, FreshCo, LCBO, and restaurants of all types. Bayview Hill is one of the top choices for families in Richmond Hill. Many Chinese consider Bayview Ave and Yonge Street are dragon veins, a prosperous source with great Fengshui and wealth of Toronto. Some marketers promote the community as a Rich man's villa to attract wealthy families locally and abroad.
