Golden Ave is at the Heart of Middlefield Community. Middlefield runs from Markham Road on the East to Highway 407 on the North, 14th Avenue on the South, and McCowan Road on the West. Three significant roads, 14th Avenue, Highglen Avenue, and Denison Street, run through the Community from east to west. Middlefield Road runs through the Community from North to South. North of 14th Avenue is zoned for light industry, and South of 14th Avenue is concentrated residential real estate. Adjacent to Aaniin Community Centre, it is a brand new neighborhood mixed with townhouses and single detached houses and is currently under development by Remington Homes. In past 3 months, 6 Detached homes were sold at average of $1.52M. Middlefield is an Asian ethnic dominant Community, about 50% of the occupants are from South Asia, and 33% are Chinese. In Golden Ave neighbourhood, you will find many residents are East Indian, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Pakistani, and Tamil. Public transit is readily available. Markham Sports Dome is another soccer, rugby, and lacrosse indoor sports field. At the southeast corner, besides Walmart Supercenter, Lowe's Home Improvement warehouse, and many other retailers and restaurants, visitors can also find branch offices of five leading Canadian banks in this area.
