Green Lane is inside Thornhill Community. The community of Thornhill runs from Yonge Street on the west to Railway on the south, Bayview Avenue on the east, and German Mills Creek on the North. The community has convenient shopping and public transit. There are also good numbers of old condo townhouses close to both John and Yonge Street and Henderson Avenue and Clark Ave at the south border of the community. Thornhill is a very diversified community. Buses on Yonge Street connect Finch Subway station, which converges with the central transit system to downtown Toronto. Inside the community, there are Don Valley Park and Woodland Park. Residents can also find the World Shops shopping mall in the neighbouring Grandview community. Thornhill is a mature community at the heart of old Thornhill village. It has a plethora of housing options and convenient public transit.
