Lynett is at the Heart of Crosby Community. Crosby community runs from Yonge St on the West to Major Mackenzie in the south, Bayview on the East, and Elgin Mills on the north. The community has a rich history and is one of Richmond Hill's oldest neighbourhoods. The home in the oldest neighbourhood date back to the 1800s. About a third of properties in Crosby is single detached homes, while semi-detached homes are centralized East of Newkirk Rd and North of Crosby Ave of Richmond Hill.
